David Getson and Mandy Mills
For several years following the turn of the century, Mandy Mills and David Getson worked independently and successfully as real estate agents in downtown Washington DC. And yet, something was missing. The independence was nice but there were times when they wanted to be part of something larger – or the business situation demanded it. In those instances they only worked harder to fill the gap but in the quiet moments they separately wondered what it was that was missing.
And then they met.
Soon they were talking shop all the time. It didn’t matter that they worked for rivalling companies - they spoke the same language and came to realize that they understood the same things about the DC market and how best to treat their clients. And then they discovered that their styles complemented each other and that though they did not profess to any weaknesses, somehow after their talks, they felt strengthened and renewed.
And so, in 2005, Mandy & David joined forces – committed to an ideal of classic customer service and with an enthusiasm for real estate that is undeniable.
Some things are just meant to be.
Mandy lives in DC's Mount Pleasant neighborhood, where she enjoys taking walks in the zoo with her husband and two wee ones. David lives just north of Logan Circle and has learned a thing or two about living through the renovation of a home.
Robert Crawford, Buyers Agent
Robert considers himself a Washington native, despite being born in New York. Having grown up in the suburbs of Washington, graduating from Gonzaga College High School and being a downtown DC resident since 1997, Robert provides his clients with all of the “ins” and “outs” of DC living. His interest in real estate goes back at least 20 years, from when he first used to keep track of the homes on the market in his childhood neighborhood. With the advent of the internet, he was able to become a resource for family and friends in their real estate transactions. He finally decided to take the plunge and follow one of his greatest interests in life - selling real estate.
Robert’s transition to the Mandy and David team was a natural one. He was actually their client when purchasing his own home in Dupont Circle four years ago. Through his interactions with the two of them, he knew that when the day came that he entered the real estate business, he would want to work for a team like theirs. Needless to say, he is excited to finally have that chance.
With a background in finance and accounting and his MBA in marketing, Robert brings a well-rounded perspective to the home buying process. He can add value in all aspects of any transaction, whether it is a condo for the first time home buyer or a home for the seasoned customer looking to expand his or her nest.
Ultimately, Robert wants to show his clients, whether they are new to the city or local natives, that Washington, DC and its surrounding suburbs are great places to live. You can usually catch him at the Coldwell Banker office on most days, or at his home away from home, the Logan Circle dog park, with his Golden Retriever, Cooper.
Shannon O'Farrell, Buyers Agent
Shannon O’Farrell grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC and has lived and worked in the district for over 7 years. She purchased a condo in the District in 2004. Throughout her home buying experience, she explored transitional neighborhoods in northwest DC. She fell in love with the diversity, the revitalization and the fast-paced vibe of Columbia Heights.
With experience in property management and residential construction, Shannon felt a desire to combine this knowledge with her love of DC real estate. She joined the Mandy & David Team in the spring of 2006. With this background, Shannon provides a diversity of knowledge to her clients about the various aspects involved in finding and purchasing a new home.
With over 8 years of experience in client services, Shannon has honed her organizational skills to assist her clients and her team in managing all the details of each transaction. Shannon’s favorite part of her job is assisting her clients in finding their perfect home and ensuring the entire home buying process is a seamless one.
Shannon loves our city and occasionally she likes to visit the beaches of Sanibel Island and her family’s lake home in northern Michigan.
Julie Mulvee Herrera, Buyers Agent
Julie Mulvee Herrera joined the Mandy and David Team in 2007. She brings years of real estate knowledge to her clients, learning the business at her parent’s knee. Her father is a commercial real estate broker, her mother a residential agent and her sister a real estate analyst. She was fortunate to learn so much at such a young age.
Julie brings knowledge and an understanding of real estate to her team. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, she served the public by working in the United States Senate. Although enjoying her position, real estate was always her first love.
“I am thrilled to join the Mandy and David team. With more than 25 years experience on the team, I have the opportunity to work with the best in the business; the best agents, the best practices, and the best standards.”
Julie resides in the Anacostia neighborhood of Washington, D.C. with her husband. She spends her spare time volunteering with the Junior League of Washington, golfing and watching NFL football.
