Michael Taft is intrinsically part of the Washington D.C. community. Having moved to D.C. at the age of 6 months, he considers himself a native Washingtonian. Michael still resides in D.C., in the Georgetown/Glover Park area. As a product of local area schools and a Georgetown resident, he feels that he has a real grasp of the pulse of D.C. and, in particular, the NEW growth areas in the City. Michael knows the schools, the recreational outlets, the best stores and restaurants, even local doctors and dentists. "The important thing to me is the genuine interest I have in making people feel comfortable in their surroundings and new environment". " Over the last couple years I have been a witness to amazing transformation in this City. We now have more choices for living, recreation and retail then we have ever had". A former sales consultant in the golf industry and fundraiser for the Georgetown University School of Foreign Affairs, Michael has served as a volunteer for several charitable organizations including, among others, the Humane Society and the First Tee organization. He is also committed to the environment and a number of other social and community organizations
Michael's personal interests include biking, golf, fishing and skiing. He also loves travel and good food and wine.
