    With 30+ years of residential real estate brokerage experience in the Montgomery and southern Frederick Counties, Sharon has the know-how and winning attitude to "get the job done" for you, no matter what the market is. She's been a consistent national award winner and a top producer in her field. And more importantly, with hundreds of very satisfied clients over the years, 90% of her business has been referral based from past clients, friends, family and other top real estate agents throughout the United States, representing a life-time achievement of over $160 million in sales volume. Being Internet and computer savvy, Sharon and her Team have never lost sight of the personal touch that's so important with clients. Reachable and available, she is is very communicative through a variety of media, including her Blackberry, as she strives to keep her clients informed throughout the entire transaction.

    Professional Background

    Sharon has been licensed in Maryland since 1977. She received hands on training from her first owner/broker in the business and grew from there. From her first transaction she knew this was to be her avocation in life--helping people achieve their dreams/goals in real estate!
    In 1983 she took the classes necessary to acquire her Broker's license and in 1985 started her own successful company. Having been affiliated with a national franchise, in 1995 Sharon merged with real estate partners who wanted to expand their company. She eventually sold out and went back to doing what she loved the most--working with buyers and sellers. During the next 12 years, Sharon achieved her company's highest accolade, membership into the National Leadership Team allowing her to share in the elite group's member and guest only, annual dinner and celebration.
    Believing in giving back to the industry that gave so much to her, Sharon was an active participant in the then Montgomery County Association of Realtors. Belonging to and participating in various committees (contract & clause, mortgage & finance, builders & brokers and others) Sharon was elected to MCBR's Board of Directors where she was a Director from 1993 to 1995 as well as a Director in the Maryland Association of Realtors for 1994-1995.
    Currently Sharon is a member of the Subscriber Advisory Council of the Metropolitan Regional Information System, the largest regionalized MLS in the country. This enables her to stay on top of the newest innovations in the electronic/computer field particularly, so crucial to the way real estate is sold today. Sharing those ideas with colleagues in her company and with whom she comes in contact through her own transactions is like going back to teaching, her first avocation in life.

    I believe in the "Golden Rule". Treat clients as I would like to be treated in a real estate transaction. This includes:

    In addition Sharon holds the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation, indicative of classes taken, hundreds of transactions completed and a willingness to support and belong to an elite group of agents, less than 5%, across the country who espouse a very professional work ethic and strive to always improve.

    For 20+ years she's been practicing buyer representation, even before the National Association of Realtors recognized this way of working with buyers, because she thought it was the right thing to do. The CBR (Certified Buyer Representation) designation shows her further commitment to professionally protecting buyers in the real estate transaction.

    Her newest designation, SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist), is aimed at the largest growing area of demographics in the US, the senior population. By earning the SRES designation Sharon has demonstrated necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50-plus through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.

    Personal Background


    I am a native of the Washington, DC area, but moved to New Jersey where I finished high school and graduated from Montclair State College with a BA in education. After teaching for 5 years and marrying my late husband, Hank, I moved back to Maryland. After teaching one year in MD, we started our family of 2 lovely daughters and I found my way into the real estate field. Real estate just "clicked" with me from the beginning. It combined my teaching skills and the business world, which I grew to love.
