Personal Background
I would delighted to help you, whether in English, Spanish, or French. I was born and educated in Madrid, and worked for fifteen years in international banking and insurance in Madrid, Brussels and Paris. In Paris I began buying and remodeling real estate as investment property. I met an American writer and sculptor there, married, and then moved with him and our son to our current home in Baltimore. I try to make good use of my broad experience- whether in interior decorating, marketing, negotiating, communications or international networking- to help my clients buy or sell their house. I have traveled extensively- in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, USA and Latin America. As someone who has lived in various cultures, I am familiar with the needs of people who are going through not only the normal transitions of a move, but the strains of culture shock as well. Master Degree in Business Administration from ICADE in Madrid, one of the most highly reputable universities in Spain. Manager of Purchasing for technology department and consulting services for AVIVA, an English owned international insurance company in Paris. I was responsible for contract negotiations, cost optimization, centralization of purchasing, outsourcing contracts and the establishment of purchasing procedure. I also worked in international banking for twelve years, including the Indosuez Bank, and the Credit Agricole Bank, in Madrid, Brussels, and Paris. I was in the international purchasing department headquarters, responsible for worldwide cost optimization related to financial data providers, and was chief purchaser for external technological consulting services. In Madrid and Paris I worked as an internal consultant for the Capital Market Department, I was manager of the Euro Back Office capital market migration, responsible for the currency transition from the franc to the euro, and was an international internal consultant for Europe, based in Paris. I was also an independent consultant for start up financing and sales strategy and a bussiness angle for Linux company, Mandriva.
