OVER 40 YEARS IN THE BUSINESS - COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL

On a whim, I decided to become a real estate agent for just a little while. It seemed like a good place to hang out until I could decide what to do when I grew up. I NEVER GREW UP! I am still going and at a faster speed every day.

After the military and college, I had an education degree and no job. I then landed one of the best experiences of my life. I worked as an urban renewal director, saving a community that had been slated for demolition. I worked closely with the then Mayor Schaeffer and the Housing commissioner Bob Embry and the wonderful citizens. When Bob was drafted by Pres Carter he took Ridgleys Delight on the road as an example of the first neighborhood in the U.S. that became revitalized in large part because of the sale of City owned "Dollar Houses." It was a mostly vacant boarded up neighborhood with a wonderful blend of determined long term neighbors and eager new folks. The Mayor told me that if I could sell that neighborhood for a dollar, I could sell anything. The rest is history. A wonderful life evolved as my passion continues.

I believe a successful realtor should maintain a variety of property sales, and a variety of buyers and sellers. It provides a daily education. My favorite type of transaction would be selling and listing Historic Properties. I become most excited when these properties are in "up and coming" communities. Baltimore has progressed beyond my dreams during the past 40 years. I am so pleased to have been a part of it. I love to point out the many properties I sold that were once in danger of demolition. As the perpetual pioneer I have also successfully restored many of my own.

Today "up and coming" is also in Balto County, particularly along the Bay, where I grew up. People are just learning you don't need to cross a bridge to buy on the Bay. FUN!

As technology continues to challenge me, I still believe it will never replace the human element. That's what I provide to my clients and friends. I love it!

Business Philosophy

My philosphy is that I will always work hard and play hard. Let me show you how buying or selling a house can be a little fun. I believe that marketing requires creative thinking. I do not want to provide just the same old, same old. Every property has value. Sometimes the value is subdued and I will show you how to bring it out. I love showing falling apart properties with potential. Before leaving such a place, the prospects will see the beauty.

Every buyer with every budget can find a dream home. Sometimes, a buyer has to heed my Mother's advice. "You have to crawl before you can leap." Still one's first, economical home should be a dream come true. And of course it's very rewarding when I take such a buyer to the next level. Sometimes selling that first home and buying the next one is hard to coordinate, but we can make it happen. Any dream can come true. Let me show you how! Thanks for listening.

will always work hard and play hard!
