More about Anne Harrington

Personal Background

Anne's family roots in Maryland reach back into colonial days! She grew up on the Eastern Shore, and has enjoyed sailing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay since she was a young girl. Anne lived in Washington, DC for many years, working in hospitality sales and marketing before moving to Annapolis in 1992. Anne was also a district sales manager for a major cruise line. With many years of success in sales, marketing and customer service, real estate was a natural fit. She received her license in 2004 and has since built a strong following of repeat customers, specializing in downtown Annapolis and Eastport, as well as waterfront properties.

Anne is also actively involved in many community programs. She is one of the founders of The Box of Rain Foundation which began in 2003 and is now a part of the educational programs with Annapolis Maritime Museum. Box of Rain Foundation is a water-based program for local disadvantaged youth to learn boating, bay environmental studies, kayaking, water safety, fishing, sailing and boatbuiding. Anne has also organized several Leukemia/Lymphomia Society of Maryland regattas, and co-chaired the 2001 Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championship regatta held in Annapolis. Anne is a firm believer of giving back to the community and involvement where you live. She currently serves on the board of directors at the Annapolis Maritime Museum and is also on the membership committee at the Annapolis Yacht Club.

Racing sailboats has been a part of Anne's life for many years and has enjoyed sailing her Harbor 20, "Queen Anne" on Wednesday Night Races and charity regattas. In addition, Anne and her husband love to entertain on "Josephine", a downeast express cruiser. They live in Eastport and totally take advantage of all that Annapolis has to offer.
